FIREFIGHTERS used a hose reel jet to tackle a car fire in Dallam Lane, Warrington.
The blaze involved the engine compartment of a hatchback and one firefighter wore breathing apparatus while extinguishing it.
The crew, from Warrington fire station, were at the scene for about half-an-hour last night.
Earlier, a fire engine from Stockton Heath went to Westy Park, on Bridgewater Avenue, Warrington following reports of a fire. They used a water backpack to tackle the fire and were at the scene for about 15 minutes.
