Rylands taste first league defeat of the season

WARRINGTON Rylands suffered their first league defeat of the season with a disappointing 2-3 home loss to City of Liverpool.

After the match manager, Dave McNabb expressed his disappointment at the team’s application and work defeat saying the only positive was a quick turnaround against Kendal on Tuesday evening.
Former striker Freddie Potter returned to haunt his former club with two goals opening the scoring on 19 minutes for the visitors with a tap in form six yards.

The home side was back on level terms just before the half-hour when Mile Curled a ball into the top corner from the edge of the box.
The visitors were then reduced to 10 men when Louis Corrigan was given a straight red card.
But despite being a man down it was the visitors who took the lead just before the break with a Nathan Burke penalty on 43 minutes making it 1-2 at half-time.
The visitors went 1-3 up on 66 minutes with a goal from Jack Hazlehurst on 66 minutes.
With time running out Lewis earl pulled a goal back for Rylands in the 89th minute with a bullet header from a corner.
In a frantic finish, both sides finished with 10 men as Warren Gerrard saw red for Rylands in the 90th minute.
