Road closed as firefighters tackle caravan blaze

FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus tackled a caravan blaze which was well alight at Appleton, Warrington, on Saturday afternoon.

At 16:50 two fire engines attended – one from Lymm and one from Birchwood, attended to a caravan well alight in Swineyard Lane, Appleton.



Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to put out the flames.
Crews then dampened down the area.
A road closure was put in place while the flames were tackled.
In another incident last night at around 11 pm one fire engine attended from Lymm used a hose reel to extinguish a bin fire on Northwich Road, Stretton.
