Teens aged 13-16 arrested after crashing 4×4 following police pursuit

VIDEO: FOUR teenagers aged between 13-16 were arrested following a police pursuit near Warrington, last night.

Officers were called to Liverpool Road, Irlam just after 8pm last night (Thursday 19 August) following reports of what looked like underage boys driving a 4×4.



Neighbourhood patrol officers located a vehicle matching the description, believed to be stolen and engaged in a pursuit.
The car made off over Barton Moss, and eventually went into a ditch. Four teenagers left the vehicle and headed into the fields on foot.
Emergency services searched the area, and three teenage boys were arrested at the scene. A fourth boy was detained sometime later on Dean Road in Cadishead near Warrington.
Two 13-year-olds, a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old were taken to hospital and checked over for minor injuries. They were then taken into custody where they remain for questioning.
Inquiries are ongoing.
