Two bed apartment approved above dental practice

PLANS have been approved for a two-bedroom duplex apartment above the Museum Street Dental Practice in Museum Street, Warrington.

The development will not involve any external works at the front and the dental practise will continue to occupy the whole of the ground floor and part of the rear first floor.

A partition wall will be created at first-floor level to separate the dental practice from the new apartment.
The scheme also involves a small, single-storey rear extension to provide new toilet facilities and access to a rear outbuilding, currently disused, but which could become a staff room or additional dental treatment room.
Warrington Borough Council Planners were told the dental practise has served the surrounding area for more than 50 years.
The building, built around the mid-Victorian period, is not listed but is within Warrington’s cultural quarter and a conservation area.
