Road set to close for work on pedestrian crossing

A temporary road closure will be required on Insall Road, Padgate, for a period of one week from August 9, while works are carried out to refurbish a pedestrian crossing.

Warrington Borough Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Insall Road at its junction with Valiant Close to its junction with Cinnamon Lane.



The Order will be effective from 9th August 2021 for 1 week between 9:30am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via Blackbrook Avenue, Enfield Park Road, Crab Lane and Fearnhead Lane. The closure is required for the refurbishment of pedestrian crossing and associated carriageway works.
