Road closure for sewer repairs

A road closure will be required for up to two weeks at Sankey Bridges, Warrington, for sewer repairs.

Warrington Borough Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows:-



Pickmere Street Passageway Rear of 1 to 23 from its junction with Lancaster Street Passageway Rear of 34 to 60 to its junction with Pickmere Street Passageway Gable of 1.
Pickmere Street Passageway Gable of 1 from its junction with Pickmere Street Passageway Rear of 1 to 23 to its junction with Pickmere Street.
The Order will be effective from 9th August 2021 for 2 weeks, when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Lancaster Street Passageway Rear of 34 to 60, Pickmere Street and vice versa.
The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out sewer repair works.
