Pedestrian escapes serious injury after being struck by car

A 40-year-old man escaped serious injury after being struck by a car near a pedestrian crossing on Brick Street, Warrington last night.

The man suffered injuries that are not believed to be serious following the incident near the Salvation Army Hostel on Brick Street just before 10pm last night, Thursday.



He was taken to hospital following the collision with a grey Vauxhall vehicle.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 10pm on Thursday, July 22, police were called to a collision on Brick Street.
“The collision involved a pedestrian and a car – a grey Vauxhall.
“A 40-year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries not believed to be serious.”
