Prepare for traffic disruption around Winwick Road area

ROAD resurfacing works are set to start in and around the Winwick Road area of Warrington for up to six weeks, from August 2nd.

Warrington Borough Council has made a temporary road closure Traffic Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Longford Street from Orford Lane to Winwick Road; From Longford Street for 50 metres along the following lengths of road: Watkin Street; Hale Street; Cross Street; Earl Street; Cowdell Street; Dorothea Street.
The Order will be effective from 2nd August 2021 for six weeks between 9:30am to 3:30pm and 7pm to 1am, when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via Winwick Road, Orford Lane and vice versa. The restrictions are required for carriageway resurfacing.
