UPDATED: THREE fire crews were called out to tackle a warehouse blaze in Warrington yesterday afternoon involving a large number of boxes and wood which is believed to have been started deliberately.
Shortly before 5.40pm firefighters were called to reports of a building fire on Cromwell Avenue, Warrington.
Three fire engines attended, two from Birchwood and one from Greater Manchester, and on arrival they found a fire in a warehouse involving a large number of boxes and wood.
Two firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to tackle the fire.
Crews then used hose reel jets to dampen down and prevent the fire from reigniting.
