UPDATED: THERE were long delays on Winwick Road near the M62 at Winwick following a road traffic collision involving four vehicles this morning.
Officers were called to a road traffic collision at the top of Winwick Road at the junction with the M62 which occurred at around 9 am this morning.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area.

A Cheshire Policespokesperson said: “At 8.43am police were called to reports of a collision on the A49 Winwick Road, near to the B&Q Roundabout.
“Officers attended the scene and found there had been a collision between two lorries, a white Renault Luton van and a white Volkswagen Luton van.
“There are no reports of any injuries, however one lane is closed and traffic is heavy in the area and there are delays.”
