POLICE caught more than 100 motorists speeding on a road near a school and a park at Padgate, Warrington, last month.

Poulton North Police caught a total of 106 vehicles speeding on Blackbrook Ave which has a 30 mph limit, near a local school and park.

A police spokesperson said: ” We don’t like doing speed enforcement but it is a pivotal part of road safety. Could you live with yourself if you had an accident that was your fault because you were speeding?
“Our findings have been passed onto the council and we will continue to monitor this road not because we want to issue tickets but because our job is to protect the public.”
