Casualty requires oxygen and first aid after car collides with tree

A YOUNG casualty needed oxygen and first aid from firefighters after a car collided with a tree in Farrell Street, Warrington, shortly after midnight.

On arrival, the crew discovered that the car had collided with a tree and was off the road.



Firefighters administered first aid to a casualty.
They administered oxygen to the young man before handing him over to the care of paramedics.
Firefighters also made the car safe.
They were in attendance for more than 50 minutes.
In another icnident at around 1.45pm on Saturday, firefighters were notified of a tree stump smouldering in the Weir Lane area of Woolston in Warrington.
Firefighters used water to make the tree stump safe.
They were in attendance for more than 15 minutes.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a discarded cigarette.
