RESIDENTS at a Lymm care home celebrated their annual pride event with a huge festival in their garden area with a large inflatable nightclub, taking centre stage, playing music from throughout the decades.

It provided a great talking piece for all residents at Keate House Residential Home, to enjoy and dance to and proved popular as a sensory experience for those living with dementia. One gentleman quoted “I’m not doing bad, am I? Dancing in a nightclub at 97!”
The day was filled with laughter and smiles as the sun shone over the residents for their special day. Residents could be seen relaxing in the sunshine and enjoying activities and costumes with the assistance of Keate House’s dedicated team, whilst enjoying a BBQ feast prepared by Keate House’s chef.
Keate House’s Care Manager Diane Clarkson said: “After the year we have had, it was so important to come together, to create smiles and to show that life can start to become a little more normal. To celebrate pride month at Keate House is always an important event for us, along with celebrating the wonderful care our staff provides every day. The day really shows how wonderful our family is at Keate House, and the pride festivals always create great memories that Keate House cherishes.”
Keate House continues to uphold a ‘Good’ rating by the Care Quality Commission (‘CQC’) and has been three-time winners of the NAPA Awards for dedication to their quality activity provision.
