Various road closures planned for Bewsey & Whitecross for up to eight weeks

VARIOUS road and footpath closures are planned in the Bewsey & Whitecross area of Warrington for up to eight weeks for road and footpath resurfacing works.

Warrington Borough Council plans to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Entire lengths of road: Norreys Avenue; Troutbeck Avenue; Lodge Lane; Penketh Avenue; Hesketh Street; Cannell Street; Roughley Avenue.



The Order will be effective from 5th July 2021 for 8 weeks between 8:30am & 5:30pm, when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative routes are Norreys Avenue via Lilford Avenue, Yardley Avenue, Troutbeck Avenue and vice versa or via Lilford Avenue, Penketh Avenue, Troutbeck Avenue and vice versa; Troutbeck Avenue via Lodge Lane, Lilford Avenue, Longshaw Street and vice versa or via Lodge Lane, Folly Lane, Longshaw Street and vice versa; Lodge Lane via Lilford Avenue, Longshaw Street, Folly Lane and vice versa; Penketh Avenue via Lilford Avenue, Norreys Avenue, Troutbeck Avenue and vice versa or via Lilford Avenue, Rixton Avenue, Troutbeck Avenue and vice versa; Hesketh Street via Evelyn Street, Beaufort Street, Old Liverpool Road and vice versa; Cannell Street via Evelyn Street, Princess Street, Old Liverpool Road and vice versa.
The restrictions are required for carriageway or footway surfacing.
