NEW cases of COVID-19 in Warrington have more than doubled in the space of a week according to the latest data from Public Health England.
The small area data for the 7 days ending 5th June shows that all but five areas of the town now have three or more cases.
A total of 122 new cases were confirmed, compared to 50 the previous week’s numbers which are shown in parentheses (29th May).
Culcheth West and Croft, Bewsey and Dallam and Lymm, all reported double figures.
The majority of the new cases are impacting younger people aged between 15-30 and include the Delta variant. Hospital admissions remain low.

The remaining five areas had six cases when taken together.
