FIREFIGHTERS were called out last night after a mattress was set on fire in bushes at Latchford, Warrington.
One fire engine from Warrington was called out shortly before 10.30pm following reports of a fire in the open off Ash Acre Meadows.

On arrival, the crew found one mattress in a bush well alight.
A hand appliance was used to extinguish the flames.
