Road closure due to gas leak on Winwick Road

WINWICK Road outbound will be closed from 9.30am tomorrow (Wednesday) morning for emergency repairs to a gas main that is leaking.

The outbound lane between Cromwell Avenue and the M62 island will be closed from 9.30am -3.30pm due to a gas escape on an 18″ medium pressure gas main on Winwick Road.
Investigatory works and repairs will be carried out by Cadent.

National Grid have got a gas escape on their 18" medium pressure gas main on Winwick Road outbound. So that they can carry out investigatory works, they will be closing the lane between Cromwell Avenue and the M62 island tomorrow morning from 9.30 am – 3.30 pm. pic.twitter.com/LKDgA61z8B
