No new COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington as infection rates remain less than half the national rate

NO new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Warrington in the latest data from Public Health England, with infection rates in the town remaining less than half the national rate.

Two new COVID-19 cases were reported yesterday. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic remains at 17,941 (17,941).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days have again risen slightly, with 22 (21) – 10.5 (10) per 100,000 population – but remain less than half the national rate of 23.7 (23.2) per 100,000.



Warrington & Halton Hospitals have temporarily suspended provided information due to a data validation exercise.
There have been no reported deaths at the hospital since April 27th.
There have been a total of 497 COVID-related deaths at the hospital since the start of the pandemic.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 486 (485) 231.4 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 191.2
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is now 567 (567).

Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths reported on Tuesday, May 25 2021 was 15 (3), taking the total number of deaths to 127,739 (127,724).
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 2,493 (2,439), taking the total number to 4,467,310 (4,464,900).
Across the country, there are 978 (908) patients currently in hospital and 121 (124) on ventilation.
