WARRINGTON firefighters carried out a “quacking” rescue in the town centre earlier today, Thursday.
Members of “Red Watch” used ladders to scale the frontage of the Poundland Store on Sankey Street, following reports of a family of ducklings nesting on a ledge high up above the street.
Firefighters used a ladder and helped safely relocate some ducklings and eggs from the unsafe height.
The ducklings were then placed into the hands of “Little Nest Rescue” to be relocated to a more appropriate nesting site.
