Firefighters called out to dangerous large sign swaying in the wind

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to help deal with a dangerous large sign swaying in the wind on Winwick Road, Warrington, earlier today, Thursday.

At around 2.15pm firefighters were informed of a large sign swaying dangerously in the wind on Winwick Road in Warrington.



A crew from Warrington Fire Station attended.
A cordon was set up and pedestrians were redirected as a precaution.
Arrangements were made for the company that erected the sign to make it safe.
Firefighters were in attendance for more than half-an-hour.
