THE borough council has confirmed a number of temporary road closures in Warrington town centre, for up to 10 weeks, starting on June 7.
The Warrington Borough Council road closures restrictions, which will be from 7pm to 5am from June 7, are required for carriageway resurfacing, junction alterations, pedestrian/traffic islands, kerb and footway alterations.
There will be a Temporary Prohibition of Driving & Clearway: Winwick Street from Central Way to Scotland Road; Scotland Road from Buttermarket Street to Winwick Street; Buttermarket Street from Orford Street to Scotland Road; Cockhedge Way from Scotland Road to Orford Street; Academy Street from Academy Way to Buttermarket Street.
Temporary Suspension of The Borough of Warrington (Town Centre) (Various Revocations & Moving Restrictions) Order 2021 in so far as it relates to Prince Henry Square Car Park, Scotland Road and Town Hill.
The road closures Order will be effective from 7th June 2021 for 10 weeks between 7pm and 5am, when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via Winwick Street, Pinners Brow, Lythgoes Lane, Cockhedge Green, Brick Street, Fennel Street, Dial Street and vice versa.
