POLICE are appealing for information after a 49-year-old man was the victim of an assault on Padgate Lane, Warrington, suffering head injuries that required hospital treatment.
The 49-year-old man was hit to the back of the head as he walked across the road towards Padgate Lane at 4.10 pm on Tuesday 13 April.
The offender has then walked away from the scene with another man.
He is described as tall, with a thin build and was wearing a black tracksuit with the hood up.
The victim was taken to Warrington Hospital and treated for injuries to his head.
PC Sophie Ellis, from Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: “We have been following a number of lines of enquiry but are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the assault take place.
“I would also ask those with CCTV in this area or dashcam footage if they were driving past at the time to contact us.”
