Fire crews tackle rubbish fire at Victoria Park an outbuilding fire at Winwick and a fire in the open at Orford

FIRE crews from Warrington fire station were called out three times last night to deal with fires involving rubbish at Victoria Park, an outbuilding at Winwick and a fire in the open at Orford.

The first incident was shortly after 7pm when firefighters were called to reports of a small rubbish fire at Victoria Park.
They used a water backpack to put the fire out and were in attendance for 15 minutes.



Then shortly after 8pm a crew was called to Townfield Lane, Winwick, where a hose reel jet was used to extinguish a small fire in an outbuilding.
Firefighters were at the scene for 20 minutes.
Then just after 9pm firefighters were called to reports of a fire in the open near to Grasmere Avenue.
On arrival, they found a small amount of wood on fire at Radley Common and used a water backpack to put the fire out.
