Firefighters rescue man from bungalow blaze

FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus rescued a man from a bungalow blaze at Woolston, Warrington, last night.

At 20:44 three fire crews from Warrington, Stockton Heath and Lymm, were called to reports of a property on fire in Hall Road, Woolston.
Hall Road, Warrington.



On arrival, the crews gained entry to the property.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
A large fan was used to clear smoke from the area.
One man was rescued by the crews.
He was passed into the care of North West Ambulance Service paramedics and taken to hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.
The crews were in attendance for around two hours and 30 minutes.
