The 15 (18) new cases in the latest daily update from Public Health England means the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 17,566 (17,551).
Warrington’s infection rate remains higher than the national average which is continuing a downward trend.
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are 167 (167) – 79.5 (79.5) per 100,000 population, showing a levelling off of new cases after four days of increases.
This compares to the national rate of 56.3 (57.1) per 100,000.
