Firefighters tackle car blaze outside commercial garage

FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus tackled a car blaze outside a commercial garage in Warrington earlier today.

At around 9.30am firefighters from Warrington were called to reports of a car fire on Longford Street, Warrington.

On arrival, firefighters found a car outside a commercial garage which was well alight.
Two firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
The crews also used a hose reel jet to cool cladding on the exterior of the garage which had been damaged by the heat.
Firefighters were detained at the scene for around one hour.
