Car well alight at Birchwood

FIREFIGHTERS were called out last night to tackle a car blaze at Birchwood, Warrington.

At around 9.45pm firefighters from Birchwood were notified of a car being on fire in Locking Stumps Lane, Birchwood, Warrington.
On arrival, the crew found the vehicle well alight.
No-one was inside it.
The crew fended off traffic as a firefighter wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet.
The car was then damped down to make it safe.
A thermal imaging camera was used to monitor the temperature of the car.
Firefighters spoke to the owner of the vehicle at the scene and were in attendance for more than half-an-hour.
