Firefighters tackle two-vehicle blaze at Bewsey

FIREFIGHTERS were called out last night to tackle a two-vehicle fire at Bewsey, Warrington.

The incident took place on Lilford Street, Warrington shortly after 7pm last night (Wednesday).
One fire engine attended from Warrington as firefighters tackled the blaze involving a van and a transporter on fire on Lilford Street.
Wearing a breathing apparatus, two hose reels were used to put out the flames.
Crews then dampened down the area.
Later in the evening at 9.40pm firefighters attended to a property on Leicester Street following reports of a smoke alarm ringing.
A large fan was used to disperse smoke caused by cooking being left unattended.
