Two more COVID-19 deaths and 61 new cases as infection rates continue to rise

ANOTHER two COVID-19 patients have sadly died at Warrington Hospital since yesterday, while 61 new cases continue an upward trend in the town, which earlier today was confirmed as remaining in tier 2.

The 61 (74) new cases in Warrington in the latest daily update from Public Health England takes the total since the start of the pandemic to 8,974 (8,839).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are 326 (309) – 155.2 (147.1) per 100,000 population – showing a continuing upward trend in infection rates over a seven day period for a sixth consecutive day.
