Gas leak results in emergency road closure at Lumb Brook Bridge

A GAS leak has resulted in an emergency road closure at Lumb Brook Bridge in Appleton which is currently closed in both directions to traffic.

The emergency closure took place after a gas leak was reported this morning. The works are expected to be completed on Monday.
A diversion route is fully signed and follows Grappenhall Road, London Road, Lyons Lane and Bridge Lane.
The area is a regular traffic bottleneck, particularly at school run times.
