Long delays on Winwick Road after accident

POLICE are advising motorists to avoid the A49 Winwick Road due to long delays following an accident this morning (Tuesday).

A vehicle is understood to have shed its load resulting in a lane closure on the AA49 northbound near to the M62 junction nine, which has caused long delays in the area.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
