Flat fire being investigated at Warrington

THE cause of a fire which caused extensive damage at a flat in Church Street, Warrington is being investigated.
Two fire engines from Warrington and Stockton Heath went to the scene shortly before midnight.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze with a hose reel jet and then used a ventilation unit to clear smoke from the property.  All the occupants were accounted for and were unharmed.
Crews were at the scene for two hours.
