Warrington’s latest COVID-19 hotspots revealed as 102 new cases confirmed

WARRINGTON’s latest COVID-19 hotspots have been revealed while a further 102 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Warrington in the latest daily update from Public Health England.

The latest “small areas” data updated by PHE yesterday (Thursday) reveals Hood Manor and Sankey Bridges had the highest number of reported cases in Warrington with 68 in the seven day period up to October 31.
Next came Central Warrington and Blackbrook, both with 59 and then Callands & Old Hall with 57.
Public Health England published data on local area positive covid-19 tests in Warrington for the seven days ending 31st October. The numbers of positive in each statistical area at the end of the period were:

The 102 (178) new COVID-19 positive cases reported in the latest daily update from Public Health England (Nov 5), means the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 6,605 (6,503).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days are 965 – 459.5 per 100,000 population.
The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test is 208.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certifuicate in Warrington is now 259.

Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths reported on Thursday November 5 was 378 (492), taking the total number of deaths to 48,120 (47,742).
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 24,141 (25,177), taking the total number to 1,123,197 (1,099,059).
Across the country, there are 12,949 (12,320) patients currently in hospital and 1,191 (1,142) patients in ventilator beds.
