Two more deaths and 138 new COVID-19 cases as country heads for second national lockdown

TWO more patients have sadly died at Warrington Hospital while 138 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the town, with the country heading towards a second national lockdown.

The new lockdown measures, which will run through November until 2 December, will see the closure of pubs, restaurants and non-essential shops.
This will also see a nationwide ban on different households mixing inside homes, although schools, universities and colleges will remain open.
Meanwhile the 138 (190) new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in the latest daily update from Public Health England, which means the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 5,984 (5,846).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days are 909 – 432.8 per 100,000 population.

Covid-19 positive inpatients 140 (145) – Of which 17 (17) are in ICU
Total number of tests (inpatients/community) cumulative – 31,666 (31,389)
Total tests with a positive result (inpatients/community/died/discharged) cumulative 2,088 (2,058)
Discharges of positive patients (excluding deaths) cumulative 598 (584)
Deaths of Covid-19 positive inpatients cumulative 190 (188)
A total of 47 patients have died at the hospital in the month of October.

According to the latest data from Public Health England there have now been 201 (201) deaths in Warrington, 95.7 per 100,000 population.
Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 326 (274), taking the total number of deaths to 46,555 (46,229).
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 21,915 (24,405), taking the total number to 1,011,660 (989,745).
Across the country, there are 10,918 (10,708) patients currently in hospital and 978 (975) patients in ventilator beds.
