One more death and 152 new cases as number of confirmed COVID-19 cases for Warrington tops 5,000

MORE than 5,000 people have now tested positive for COVID-19 in Warrington since the start of the pandemic with a 152 new cases reported in the latest daily update, while one more death has sadly been reported at the town’s Hospital.

Warrington will at midnight tomorrow (Monday) enter a self-imposed Tier 3 lockdown in a bid to curb the high rates of infection.
Meanwhile, the 152 (128) new COVID-19 positive cases reported by Public Health England today, mean the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 5,072 (4,920).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days are 758 – 360.9 per 100,000 population.
NHS England has reported one further death at the town’s hospital taking the total number of deaths at the hospital to 176.

According to the latest data from Public Health England there have now been 189 (184) deaths in Warrington, 90 per 100,000 population.
Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 151 (174), taking the total number of deaths to 44,896 (44,745).
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 19,790 (23,012), taking the total number to 873,800 (854,010).
Across the country, there are 7,850 (7,850) patients currently in hospital and 743 (743) patients in ventilator beds.
