POLICE are appealing to members of the public to help identify who was responsible for fly-tipping in the Appleton area of Warrington.

While on patrol in Appleton this morning officers discovered fly-tipping at a cut-through off Lumbrook Road.
Anyone with information is urged to report to [email protected]
or 01925443322.
Warrington Borough Council has been tackling fly-tipping issues in the town, with 12 fines being issued for fly-tipping related offences within the past month.
Earlier this week Cllr Judith Guthrie said: “The number of fines issued for fly-tipping offences should be a serious deterrent to anybody considering illegally disposing of their rubbish.
“I would remind people that they must ensure anyone who takes their waste is authorised and has a permit to do so. Do not use social media to find people to take waste away without first checking that they are authorised to take it. Always request a transfer note with the details of what is being taken and who is taking it, as if it ends up fly-tipped, it could be you that ends up in trouble.”
