Drink-drive suspect charged with assaulting four police officers

A drink-drive suspect who was arrested after crashing his car has been charged with assaulting four police officers following a disturbance at Warrington Hospital.

The male driver waS arrested following a road traffic collision on Lythgoes Lane during the early hours of Saturday morning.
He was taken to hospital as a result of injuries received but then allegedly assaulted four police officers and damaged hospital equipment.
He has been charged with Failing to Provide, Criminal Damage to Hospital Equipment, Possession of Cannabis, Public Order and Assaulting 4 Police Officers.
He was remanded in custody after being refused bail and will appear in court on Monday morning.
