Bus destroyed by fire on Daresbury Expressway

THREE fire crews tackled a bus fire on the Daresbury Expressway near Warrington on Sunday night.

Firefighters from Warrington and Runcorn were called to reports of a fire on Eastern Expressway, Daresbury at 10.45pm.
On arrival crews discovered a fire involving a bus which was well alight. All of the occupants had exited the vehicle and there were no injuries.

Firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used three hose reels to extinguish the fire. They then used a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots.
Crews were in attendance for approximately fifty-five minutes.
The bus, belonging to Warrington based MP Travel, was completely gutted by the blaze.
