WARRINGTON Youth Cabinet has now recruited more than 50 members and launched a new Membership Programme.

The organisation is run by young people for young people and aims to give the youth of Warrington a strong and secure voice.
The organisation aims to promote change for the better and they now have a new Membership Programme, that will allow the young people of Warrington who want their voice heardto be listened to, without having to commit as much time as the Cabinet’s team of Officers and Directors.
By working with the Chief Officers, Directors and their Officers and meeting online via Zoom sessions for the time being until meetings can safely resume face-to-face, they are able to suggest potential projects to the Youth Cabinet as well as being able to vote on proposed projects and work in alignment with the Youth Cabinet’s pledges and
priorities. The members will play a vital part in enabling the Pledges and Priorities, that were published recently, to be fulfilled to the best of the Cabinet’s ability.
The Warrington Youth Cabinet currently has over 50 people recruited and hopes to expand even more in the future. Their Deputy Chief Youth Officer, Danniella Glenn, who is involved in the management of the programme said, “It makes me very proud to see so many young people from all across Warrington wanting to get involved with the Youth Cabinet and engage with helping the community as a whole. To be our most successful, we need as many ambitious young minds as possible to work together tomake Warrington a better place for us all. I am excited to see where this programme will take us with the help of the rest of the team here at the Youth Cabinet.”

The Cabinet’s efforts to give young people a voice really shows and it is great to see the work that young people can do. If you would like to become a member and have your voice heard in Warrington, visit www.warringtonyouthcabinet.com/membership
Cllr Tony Higgins said “I’m more than happy to support the Warrington Youth Cabinet and it’s enthusiastic young members. Having met many of the members it’s clear from their
conversations they are eager to engage in community activities and help to build stronger communities.
The Warrington youth cabinet is not the only youth voice in Warrington so I’m immensely pleased that our young residents will have a varied opportunity to get involved in having a say or getting involved in the community and town .
