A WOMAN who was creating a disturbance in Warrington town centre last night was arrested after assaulting a police officer.
The Female was arrested on Cairo Street just before 2200 overnight and is alleged to have assaulted a Police Officer who responded to reports of her causing a disturbance in the street.
Meanwhile in another incident a man arrested after a foot chase that took in the old Mr Smiths site, the rail bridge over the Mersey and Centre Park.
The male had been circulated as wanted for a series of alleged violent offences.
