Violent train passenger spat in officer’s face

A VIOLENT train passenger spat in a police officer’s face as he was being arrested at Bank Quay Railway station.

The incident happened earlier this evening when Officers made their way to Warrington Bank Quay where an off duty British Transport Police Officer had made an arrest on an incoming train service for allegations of Assault on him and Public Order.
The Male also allegedly assaulted a Warrington officer by spitting in his face on the way to the van.

He was taken into custody on allegations of assault, public disorder and assaulting a police officer.

  1. Spitting in public is a most unacceptable action at any time, and spitting at another person is despicable, inexcusable and disgusting. All the more so during this pandemic, with all the implications of spreading the disease. Anyone who does it deserves to have their sentence increased and where the victim(s) are the Police, paramedics or members of essential services that sentence needs to be further increased.
