HUGE queues and traffic jams greeted the reopening of Warrington’s IKEA store for the first time since lockdown.

The Swedish homeware giant announced their plans to reopen stores last week, following the new government lockdown guidelines with all stores implementing strict social distancing rules and safety measures to keep staff and shoppers safe.
The Warrington store reopened to customers at 10am this morning to be greeted by a lengthy queue.
Shoppers have posting on social media sharing images and videos of the long queues outside the store.

KJ (Kev) posted on Twitter “This is the scene at IKEA Warrington this morning! Massive queues in both directions, Europa Boulevard (both ways) and Charon Way gridlocked, traffic right back to junction M62 Junction 8….

Meanwhile reports from other stores in the town, including Morrisons and B&M, this morning, were no queues and shoppers able to walk straight in.
