A community volunteer who set up a “good guys” group to help those in need during the coronavirus crisis, has so far helped more than 500 struggling families across Warrington.

Beth Trainer, who lives near to Warrington Hospital, set up the group, which has five dedicated volunteers, without funding or support and has so far attracted over 7,000 members to her facebook group.
In what little spare time she has, she is also providing Princess Parties for youngsters in isolation on their birthdays, in return for donationss to #NHSHeroes.
Her dedicated team of volunteers include Nathan Heckle, John Wilson, Craig Walters, Helen Johnson and Carol Watson, with others who have offered to join soon.
Beth’s partner Matt Dempsey said: “Beth has helped over 500 struggling families in Warrington without any funding.
“She is out every day and running Bewsey Community centre as an emergency centre for people in crisis.
“She is working with supermarkets, councillors and covering most of Warrington, she goes wherever people need help.
“We have seen a lot of ‘borders’, parishes and council lines that certain groups won’t cross. Beth is just helping everyone in and around Warrington.

Matt added: “Beth inspires everyone around her, including me.
“She has made a difference in so many peoples lives and there would be a lot of people worse off if she wasn’t on the front line.”
The Good Guys Facebook group now has more than 7,000 members since launching just a few weeks ago.
