LIVEWIRE employee Dan Warren has been nominated for an “Everyday Heroes Award” after lending a hand to the Warrington community delivering food parcels.
Dan is a part of a local group called Helping Hands Orford, Poplars and Hulme. He is volunteering his time to meet the team daily to organise and deliver food parcels during the current lockdown.
Emma Hutchinson Managing Director of LiveWire said ” It’s great to see LiveWire employees such as Dan, give up their time to help members of the community during these uncertain times”
Dan and other in the group have also delivered to a few further afield locations such as Sankey, Birchwood and Bewsey as well as Orford. During easter the group collectively delivered 500 Easter Eggs with donations from Morrisons, Aldi and the Co-Op.
Due to Dans’ volunteering efforts him and other members of the group have been nominated for a BBC Everyday Heroes Award!
Dan said ” I have been amazed at the support locally with donations and the nominations. For a group that few weeks ago hardly knew each other we do work well as a team. It really shows there is community spirit out there, especially in this time of the lockdown, which none of us has experienced before.”
