Charity car washed cancelled because of coronavirus

THE developing coronavirus situation has led to the cancellation of a charity car wash at Penketh Fire Station tomorrow (Sunday).
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service has announced that because of the situation, all car washes that were due to be held this weekend have been postponed.
Firefighters had vowed to wash as many cars as possible at Penketh and have issued an apology to members of the public who were due to turn up.
They hope to reschedule the day as soon as possible.
The event was in aid of the Fire Services Charity – the UK’s leading provider of services enhance the quality of life for serving and retired fire service personnel and their families.
As well as washing cars, firefighters normally also offer all motorists vital road safety advice, which could save their lives.
