A 21-year-old Warrington man was appearing in court today charged with a serious assault on Folly Lane during the early hours of Saturday morning.
Jordan Hughes, of Calgarth Avenue, Bewsey, was arrested in the early hours following the assault near to McDonalds on Folly Lane.
He was charged with assault and possession of a knife in a public place.
The victim in the case, a 24-year-old man from Wigan, sustained significant injuries and is currently recovering in hospital. His condition is described as stable.
