Teenagers in court on robbery charges

TWO 15-year-old boys appeared before magistrates at Warrington today after being charged following a series of robberies in Widnes and Warrington.
The teenagers cannot be named for legal reasons – one is from Warrington and the other from Runcorn.
They have both been charged with three counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery arising from alleged incidents off a path in Benson Road, Warrington when a 72-year-old woman had her bag stolen, the attempted theft of a mobile phone from a 26-year-old man in Birchwood Way and two incidents in Widnes. They were remanded on bail until Wednesday, March 11.
Both boys have also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place in Widnes
