Vandals start fire which spreads to trees

A FIRE in the open, started by vandals at Warrington, spread to nearby trees.
The blaze was off Farrell Street last night and involved a quantity of rubbish which had been deliberately set alight.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire – but not before a number of trees had been damaged.
They were at the scene for about 30 minutes.
