THE M62 at Burtonwood, Warrington was closed in both directions on Tuesday afternoon as the air ambulance attended after a car overturned in the westbound carriageway.
The incident took place on the M62 westbound between J8 (Burtonwood) and J7 (Rainhill / Widnes) and involved an overturned vehicle.
To compound matters all lanes for J9 westbound access (Winwick/Warrington) were closed for Carriageway Lane Management.
This is affecting the A 49 Winwick Road, junction 8 and 9 and motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
